On Thursday, Unity announced itsdecision tostop the production of Gigaya, aplatform game with puzzle elements designedtohelp developersfulfill their creativeambitions usingthe Unity engine.
The game was first announced inMarch 2022, and itsrelease was expected throughout the current year. It wasbeing created usingan ecosystemof Unitytools and features andwas settobe free for all Unity userstodownload andexperiment with its assets and source code.
On the company’s forum, community managerLeonhard Picknyshared thatUnity decidedto stop theproduction of Gigaya as the company considered afurther investment initas aninappropriate allocationof resources.
